I can't pick a favorite, but I can assure you that Shikamaru is top five in my book. He's constantly vying for the top spot with Neji, Gaara, Naruto and Kakashi ^_^.

Naruto is a manga and anime series from Japan. The story centers on a 12 year-old-boy who grows up in a ninja village and has been ostricized his entire life because he had a demon sealed inside of him when he was a baby. The basic plot is that he has to force people to accept him despite their initial fear of this second aspect of his existence. It's a lot better than how I'm making it sound. Although, I will say that the length of the story (specifically overdone fight scenes) is its main weakness. It's real strength lies in its characters and their development.
So, if you're interested, you can go to that site and download the manga (my recommendation). If you aren't though, no biggie.
