The past is history...
the future is a mystery...
But now...
Now is a gift, appreciate what you have.
And that is why it is called the present.
Tastes the rainbow here there and everywhere

search in the darkness...
I'm curious because some of the shadow areas have a very distinct stroke to them. It seems too thin to be a watercolor brush.
Normally I think I wouldn't like the combination of very well blended colors and the very blunt line work, but I think there is enough of it in the arms and legs to balance the piece. Just thinking out loud here really, I'd like to learn to use the medium eventually.
As for criticism, I think the closest leg could use a bit more definition, either in the ankle or just with more contrast. Not sure if that's possible with watercolors at this stage, it might just make it muddy looking but it's a thought.
I would just love to see what you did in the arms and face extend into the legs a bit more. Otherwise I love it and all of your work so far.
See you around Christmas, you loose moraled woman you
I think part of the problem is that my watercolors get destroyed when I photograph them. I would take them outside, but it's miserably cold and wet, so that's a no-go.
The lines that you see are pencil. I lay down structural lines first with pencil, go over it with watercolor, and sometimes I work back in with pencil at the end. Because I just love cross-hatching. If I thought that it was a distraction, I wouldn't work that way, but I kind of like the end result. And it sets me apart from the watercolor purists ^_~
