Description
So, I didn't think that working with a white background would throw me off as much as it did, but being a pin-up, it was important that I render the flesh as accurately as possible and this created problems. Also, since this is "Snow Queen" themed, it was crucial to keep the white. Anyway, my tip for working with a white background? Start with a colored ground first (I normally stay in the browns, but it's your choice) and then remove the color from the bg areas when the figure is mostly captured. Maybe that will save someone else the aggravation.
Oh! And I'm hoping to use this image for a greeting card (this is the first of three I have planned) to be sold for the holidays. So that's fun! This is what it looks like with the greeting: [link]
I tried to make it look as 1950s cheezy as possible. If anyone has a suggestion on how it can be improved, please let me know!
